Haibei Wang

ABOUT HAIBEI

Haibei Wang is a versatile Chinese composer whose work spans film, musical theater, video games, and the concert stage. Her music seamlessly blends classical orchestration with electronic, jazz, and Eastern folk influences.

Haibei's film scores have premiered at prestigious international festivals, including SXSW, TIFF, AFMA, and SFFILM. Recent credits include Liar, Liar, Love Is on Fire, co-scored with Yixin Huang, as well as additional music for Panda Plan (starring Jackie Chan) and Honey Money Phony.

A recipient of the 2024 ASCAP New York Film Scoring Workshop, she has also served as a panelist for the Manhattan Arts Grants and Queens Arts Fund. In 2025, she was selected as one of six fellows in the AWFC Mentorship Program and is currently mentored by composer Jay Wadley.

Haibei earned her Master’s degree in Composition with a concentration in Screen Scoring from New York University in 2019, following Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Concert Composition and a Bachelor’s in Organ Performance from the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. Now based in New York City, she is actively working on multiple projects as a composer and arranger.
